Get tested if you're active

space

Have you filled out a questionnaire like the one pictured above and ticked yes?

If you ticked yes, have you ever been tested for an STI - sexually transmitted infection - or when was the last time you got checked?

Getting tested regularly is important because some infections have no symptoms at all.  Some examples include chlamydia and gonorrhoea and if left untreated it can cause infertility.  You might even uknowingly pass an infection onto someone else.

Arthur Bin has done some research on how gonorrhoea affects males. Listen to his message here.

Gammon safe sex

Heterosexual couple in intimate embrace

Have you heard about the withdrawal method?

In this day and age, many people still think this method can prevent pregnancy and the transmission of STIs and HIV/AIDS.

Get real

If someone tries this "safe sex" ploy on you don't be fooled.  Say no as some STIs can be transmitted through genital or skin-to-skin contact (herpes) and bodily fluids are still being exchanged.

A condom used with a water-based lubricant is a more effective means of protecting yourself against an unplanned pregnancy and STIs and HIV/AIDS.

As Condoman says, "Don't be shame.  Be Game! Wear condoms!"
