2015 Fall Food Drive!

Our annual food drive has begun again! Last year’s food drive was incredibly successful. Together our patients and staff brought in almost 3,000 pounds of food that was used by Oregon Food Bank to feed hungry neighbors in Oregon and Clark County Washington.

For every 5 items you donate, you will be entered into a drawing to win a FREE massage or training session!

But there’s more: Once again, we have made the donation process a competition. TAI Lake Oswego is competing with TAI Oregon City to see who can donate more. The clinic with the larger donation will win a visit from the other clinic’s director dressed as Santa Clause!

The donation bins will be out until December 15. Bring your donations in now!

Performance Training at TAI L.O. Physical Therapy

Performance Training at TAI L.O. Physical Therapy - FITT Systems

Here at Therapeutic Associates Lake Oswego (also known as LO FITT), our training program is in-depth, evidence based, multi-disciplinary, and multi-faceted.  Functional Integrated Therapy and Training (F.I.T.T.) is not only a training model, but a dynamic systemic approach to health, wellness, and performance.  FITT is directed by our very own Ryan Baugus PT, DPT, ATC.  He has been with TAI Lake Oswego for years, working as an aide, an athletic trainer, and now as a physical therapist.  His experience spans from Oregon State University athletics to MLB and NFL professional athletes.

Our performance training platform is designed to help athletes at all levels reach their potential with an evidence based and systematic approach to athletic development, which makes our model unique.  We offer a variety of options for performance training that address athletes of all levels.  Our transitional programs are physical therapist directed and executed by highly qualified athletic trainers/performance coaches.  Our advanced performance programs still include therapist insight, with a stronger focus on skilled movement, neurological development and adaptability, and sport specific training.  Our staff comes from a variety of athletic and performance backgrounds, with years of experience in sports performance and sports medicine.  We strive to utilize training principles that drive methods which are rooted in sound science and proven at the highest level of competition, allowing success for all athletes from recreational to professional.

We begin with a comprehensive wellness assessment which includes functional movement system (FMS), OptoGait analysis, and physical therapist wellness screen – all key pillars that guide our training. We address the foundational elements first, including mobility, stability, strength, and balance.  We are constantly adapting our programs to offer movement diversity and to grow with each client. Throughout the duration of the training period we monitor and assess progress using measurable data to refine our training methods as we move toward our patients/clients goals.  In essence, we bring the highest level of assessment and training to the athletes of the Portland metro area.

Our FITT team is always in the process of creating and refining exciting upgrades to our system through constant research and development.  Some features coming down the pipeline include a software platform that makes the patient/client-PT/trainer interface very efficient and effective, as well as, advance research-grade body composition monitoring system.  We will keep you updated on new developments as they come to fruition.

We would love to hear from you with questions via phone call or email.  Stop by and check out our gym, meet our PTs and trainers and get a feel for our atmosphere…come and check out the FITT System difference.
