Healthy Ears - Better Hearing, Better Listening beyond 30 June 2018The Australian Government has committed $29.4 million across Australia to extend Healthy Ears - Better Hearing, Better Listening (HEBHBL), to help ensure tens of thousands more Indigenous children and young adults grow up with good hearing and the opportunities it brings. The Hon Ken Wyatt AM, MP Minister for Aged Care and Minister for Indigenous Health statement can be found here. Rural Health West is awaiting notification from the Australian Government Department of Health regarding our role as Fundholders of HEBHBL from 1 July 2018. In preparation for a potential funding round, current and interested service providers are encouraged to review local needs, identify gaps and request at least one letter of support from local general practitioners, community or hospital representatives and/or the respective regional Aboriginal Health Planning Forum. The team will keep all stakeholders informed with any news through our e-bulletin and targeted communications.
