This month we celebrate our Victorian Seniors Award winners including the winner of the Premiers Award for Senior of the Year, Hamish Russell and our valued colleague, Brenda Appleton. We congratulate all award winners and thank them for their lifetime of contribution to our community. Thanks also to our volunteers and staff who supported a wide array of activities as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival. Our Victorian Election Platform urges all parties to recognise the incredible contribution of Victorians 50+ as part of their planning for the ageing of the Victorian population. We urge you to get involved and let your candidates know about the issues that are important to you. You can also help us to inform our work by completing our National Survey.
This month we also celebrated 10 years of protecting the rights of older Victorians experiencing or a risk of elder abuse at the Seniors Rights Victoria 10th Anniversary celebration.
Please get in touch if you would like to be involved in the important work of COTA Victoria in Promoting Opportunities. Protecting Rights. For people 50+
