Social Investment

New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) has recently published a guide to social investment. It aims to help charities understand the risks and opportunities social investment entails and the steps they need to think through before deciding if it is for them. The paper essentially seeks to answer two questions: what is social investment and should my charity be thinking about taking on social investment? The guide is available here.

Thank you!! – we have received our best ever feedback from our service users in this year’s evaluation exercise. Over 99% of those using any of our services over the last year think they received an excellent (73%) or good (26%) service. Virtually all of our users found our input helpful in improving a wide variety of aspects of their financial management and governance (74% thought us very helpful). Most importantly we received a vast number of valuable comments and helpful suggestions for improvement which we are currently analysing. We will be publishing the full results on our website early in the New Year. Thank you to all of you who took the time to give us your thoughts.

Bradford collection/drop off service

In the Autumn we said we needed to change how we manage the collection and drop off of accounting records.  We will be retaining this service in Bradford. In the New Year we will be introducing a variety of options depending on the volume of your records and your location in the Bradford district. We will be writing to all relevant organisations which are affected. Also look out for further details which we will issue in the first week of 2012. Important note: In the meantime please do not drop off your records without first contacting us.
