HEAD celebrates its 10th anniversary !
HEAD – Genève, Geneva School of Art and Design, will celebrate its 10th anniversary and launches its annual show, the DEFILE HEAD, which through the years has become a major fashion event in French-speaking Switzerland. As a testimony to the international reach of its fashion department, the school has appeared in the prestigious Business of Fashion’s Global Fashion School Rankings for the first time in 2016.
For the second year running, HEAD will occupy Espace Hippomène, an amazing space for the show and for the showroom in which the school’s Product Design / Jewellery & Accessory Department’s creations will be exhibited.
True to its demanding high standards, the programme of DEFILE HEAD 2016 will present 20 BA collections, including eleven women’s collections, eight men’s collections and one children’s collection. Five MA collections will also feature in the programme, including three women’s collections and two men’s and mixed collections.
The BA graduate collections in Product Design / Jewellery & Accessory will be exhibited in the showroom. The selection will show four jewellery projects, two watch design projects, one pouch accessory project, one fan project and one shoe accessory project, as well as a MA in Fashion and Accessories Design collection which will present a bag accessory project.

Artistic direction
Léa Peckre, Head of the Fashion Design Department at HEAD since 2015, will oversee the artistic direction of the DEFILE HEAD 2016. A leading figure for a new generation of experienced young designers, she has been managing her own Parisian brand since 2012, after proving her worth in the haute couture creation workshops of Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy and Isabelle Marant, after graduating. In 2011, her collection entitled “Les cimetières sont des Champs de Fleurs” (Cemeteries are Fields of Flowers) earned her the Grand Jury Prize at the Hyeres Festival, presided over by Raf Simons, and in 2015 she won the First Collection Prize at the ANDAM – the National Association for the Development of Fashion Arts.
Our partners
Without them, DEFILE HEAD would certainly not be as prestigious. We extend our gratitude to Mercedes-Benz, our main sponsor, as well as to Chloé, Bongénie, MAC, Le Bal des Créateurs,
Oribe - DG Luxury, Lavinia, Skynight, Hotel N’vy, Bolero,
Novembre, Léman Bleu, One FM, Espace Hippomène.
