Click here Barnard College Update - Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017Dear Claremont resident: We mentioned a few weeks ago that we anticipated a few Claremont Avenue closures this fall as we receive several deliveries of large equipment and materials. The second - and we hope the final - of these closures will occur next Saturday, Nov. 18 when a small crane will be brought onto Claremont Avenue to move equipment onto the tower. Claremont Avenue from W. 116th Street to W. 120th Street will be closed to traffic and parking beginning early Saturday morning. We anticipate this work being completed by late that afternoon; however, it's possible we might need to do some additional work on Sunday, Nov. 19. Since Claremont will be closed very early Saturday morning and cars will not be permitted to park on either side of the street, we recommend that you move your car before midnight Friday, Nov. 17, as the City will begin towing early Saturday morning. In addition to the street closure, the Barnard campus entrance at W. 119th Street and Claremont will be closed as well. If you need to move between Claremont and Broadway, you will need to cross at either 116th or 120th, but you will be able to walk up and down the west side of Claremont. We appreciate your understanding. Schedule The schedule continues to be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Questions?
