Addressing Sidewalk Pooling on General Drive
At our May Championship POA Board of Directors meeting, we discussed an issue brought to our attention concerning two areas of the sidewalk on General Drive. These sections of the sidewalk have been experiencing pooling water both after rainstorms and following sprinkler cycles.
We understand that this pooling water can be an inconvenience, and a danger as it often causes walkers to walk in the roadway. Typically this water dries up within a day due to our usual weather and heat conditions, but it is still a concern. To address this, the Board is actively looking into potential solutions.
Currently, we are in the process of obtaining quotes from various contractors. We want to explore all available options to resolve the issue effectively. This includes evaluating different methods of repair and considering the costs involved. However, it is important to note that we are still in the early stages of this process.
At this point, no decisions have been made. We are gathering information and will continue to discuss our options as we receive feedback from the contractors. We want to ensure that any actions we take are in the best interest of our community and are cost-effective.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this process. We will keep you updated on any significant developments. For now, please be aware that the issue is under review, and we will communicate further once we have more information and have evaluated the proposals from the contractors.
Vehicle and Boat Repairs, Fishing
A brief note to remind all homeowners and residents that Articles 4.6 and 4.14.4 of the restated Rules and Regulations of the PGA Property Owners Association state the following:
[4.6] "No fishing whatsoever is allowed from the golf course or from private property."
[4.14.4] "No maintenance or repairs shall be performed on any boat or vehicle except inside a fully enclosed garage."
Incidents involving both of these issues have been reported recently and we just want to make you aware.
If you see individuals violating these or any PGA National Rules and Regulations, please call Security at (561) 627-1600

Championship Back Gate Redesign
At the May 2024 Board of Directors meeting, the members reviewed bids from several contractors for two key projects related to the redesign of the General Drive entry: resurfacing the walls and pillars to match those at the front entry, and installing new signage and lighting. We are excited to report that we are moving forward with these improvements to enhance this entry point, making it
as appealing to residents as the Ryder Cup Boulevard gateway is to both residents and guests.
Given the scale of this project, we are diligently selecting the best contractors and ensuring competitive pricing before commencing work. As we progress, we will keep homeowners informed through updates in this newsletter. Your patience and support are greatly appreciated as we work to beautify our community.
Thank You for Your Vigilance and Cooperation
We want to extend a heartfelt Thank You to everyone who has taken the time to report incidents of vehicles tailgating at the General Drive entry or, even worse, breaking off the gate arm to gain unauthorized access. Your vigilance is crucial in maintaining the security and safety of our community.
However, while we greatly appreciate your vigilance, it is paramount that you prioritize your safety above all else. Please do not attempt to confront individuals engaged in these activities. Your personal safety is far more important.
If you witness such an incident, try to safely obtain a description of the vehicle and, if possible, the license plate number. This information is incredibly valuable and will assist our Security team in identifying and contacting the vehicle owner to ensure they are held accountable and make restitution for any damages caused.
Remember, always act with caution and never put yourself in harm's way.
To report these incidents, please contact PGA National Security at (561) 627-1600
Thank you once again for your cooperation and commitment to keeping our community safe.
Safety is a top priority of your Championship Board of
Directors!
