Join us for our first
BDO Network Assembly!
July 28, 2021
12:30-2:00 EST
LISC, in collaboration with our partners, has been hard at work assisting small businesses in managing the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, focusing on supports to BIPOC-and women-owned businesses and those operating in historically disinvested communities.
Since 2020, LISC has supported 130+ Business Development Organizations (BDOs) across the country with grants totaling over $5.5M to support small business relief and recovery. In addition to financial support, we built a data management system to measure the local and collective impact of this work and conducted surveys and one-on-one interviews to better understand the needs of our partners.
To continue supporting
and building this network of experienced, community-rooted, practitioners on the ground, LISC is kicking off its first BDO Network Assembly on July 28th with a 90-minute workshop focusing on helping organizations think strategically about their development goals and practices (see below for details).
LISC is also excited to share the following offerings with the BDO Network in the months ahead. Throughout these offerings, we will focus on shared learning, information gathering and community building. Stay tuned for further invites and announcements.
- Quarterly Assembly Meetings: With in-depth guidance and insights on some of the most critical components of small
business ecosystem building.
- Monthly Network Enhancements: 30-minute “coffee shop” sessions to highlight best practices and topical conversations with partners and practitioners that are driving inclusive growth in communities across the country.
- Monthly Newsletter: With resources, announcements, partner profiles and information helpful to BDOs and small businesses. Sign up!
