Come to the 25th Anniversary Community Celebration on the Quad Saturday
Open house 3 – 5 p.m.
Live music 5:30 – 8 p.m.
Next Saturday is the big day—the 25th Anniversary Community Celebration on the Quad. Thank you to everyone who plans to participate. Here are some things to know.
Eat lunch before you come. Food vendors will not be open until 5 p.m.
Please wear your 25th anniversary T-shirt, ideally with black or white on the lower half. You may have picked up your T-shirt at the reception following
the Campus Update last Thursday. You may have received it from the person in your unit who is organizing participation in the event. If you do not have a T-shirt, please contact
Maureen Keller, Office of Marketing and Communications, 6-9599.
If you are an exhibitor, tables will be set up by 1 p.m. Plan to be ready to greet early guests at 2:30 p.m.
Please park in the Green 2 lot behind the Clark College and Science and Engineering Buildings to free up space for guests in the other lots.
When you arrive, check in at the welcome table between the Dengerink Administration and Classroom Buildings and get a name tag.
Have fun! Talk to guests. Make sure you take time to tour the exhibits yourself. There are unique contributions from every corner of campus.
Learn more in the press release. Plan to put away exhibit materials about 5:30 p.m. after guests have crossed the street to the amphitheater for the concert.
Stay for the concert in the amphitheater. Lincoln’s Beard will play at 5:30 p.m. Sean Flinn and The Royal We will take the stage at 7 p.m.
Public Safety moved
Public Safety has moved to the Classroom Building, Room 120. The VanCougar student newspaper now occupies Public Safety’s former office in the Dengerink Administration Building.
Campus elevators to undergo maintenance
Three elevators on campus are scheduled for maintenance that will take them offline for a minimum of 30 days. The elevators in the Classroom Building, Dengerink Administration Building and Library have reached an age where parts are sometimes difficult or impossible to replace. As a matter of safety, these three elevators will be updated to prevent a prolonged outage should one of them develop a maintenance issue.
The buildings are scheduled for elevator maintenance as follows. The elevators in each building will not be operational for the duration.
Signage will be posted near the elevators during maintenance. Faculty and staff who
have access issues may contact Randy Boose, director of human resources, at 6-9595 to resolve them. Students may contact Sally Dost, access center coordinator, at 6-9138 to resolve access issues.
