Your ideas and feedback are important to UC

It's important that students are given a range of opportunities to provide feedback and (although it may not always seem obvious) we really do make use of what you tell us.

Recently some students have been asked to complete the International Student Barometer Survey (ISB). Thanks if you've taken the time to complete the survey and it's not too late if you've just noticed it sitting in your inbox! The information you provide tells us what's working, what's frustrating and what you think of UC to date. Please be sure to complete the survey if you've been approached.

The Student Services Levy - where do your dollars go?

Another recent engagement opportunity that should interest all students is a survey organised by the Joint Operations Advisory Board (JOAB) to find out what you want the Levy money spent on. If you have an opportunity to take part in focus groups be sure to give honest feedback - this is your chance to make a real difference.

Here's the UCSA's take on the Student Services Levy...

UC People

Want something beyond the traditional career? –
UC offers it.

So you were good at school and heading for med school but it didn't feel quite right for you? You enrolled in a degree instead and now find yourself in lectures, enjoying it but wondering where it will lead and will you be happy at the end?

Courteney Johnston felt like that. It was at third year she took the courses offered at the university in science and entrepreneurship. She says she was “so happy” to find such courses existed, it was perfect for what she enjoys in life. At school she didn’t even know it was an option, “the idea of being an entrepreneur was just crazy.” Now she is carrying on her studies, as well as in her spare time doing a patent search process for an app she is working on. It is the first step of her big plans to make a difference in the world. She says “I am living the dream, hopefully.”
