Hi there,

A glass of milk seems far removed from the world of technology, but IT, and particularly IoT, is playing an increasing role in farming systems.

Now Swinburne University is throwing its weight behind dairy IoT with an AU$2 million project to provide accurate supply forecasting for Australia’s $13.7 billion dairy industry.

It’s the supply chain, but not the one of old, with more than 700 sensors monitoring specific aspects of the dairying supply chain from farm to carrier to processor. The move has attracted funding from the federal government.

In other news:

  • Pinpointing the benefits of super accurate GPS
  • What we really, really want with AI
  • Accenture continues buying spree with Analytics8 acquisition
  • Newly merged NZ-based MSP has Australia in its sights

We also take a look at some of the telltale signs that your business might need a new accounting package with a whitepaper to help you assess your pain points.

Lastly, transformational change has been on everyone’s agenda, but making it a reality is often fraught. Our webinar next week will discuss the Age of Industry Transformation bringing together expert views from vendor, client and consultant on ways to budge your DX needle.
