Altrincham BID Reballot Result
Businesses in Altrincham town centre have voted in favour of renewing Altrincham Unlimited, Altrincham’s Business Improvement District (BID) for a further five-year period, from 2021 to 2026. In the new term, the BID’s key objectives will be to: - Maintain and sustainably grow visitor numbers with marketing and promotion, and a high-quality year-round programme of events
- Improve Altrincham’s BID area public spaces so they are vibrant, clean, welcoming, green and safe
- Create the
right environment to attract new businesses to the town
- Improve connectivity between parts of the town centre, giving visitors more reasons to spend time in and use the whole town
- Support BID businesses with a range of services to reduce costs and improve customer experience
- Represent BID business by influencing and working with key partners

Trafford Council Update on Support Grants
Trafford Council is now administering the Local Restrictions Support Grant (open and closed) and Additional Restrictions (Discretionary) Grant schemes and is inviting applications from eligible companies.
Businesses with business rates liability may be eligible for a Local Restrictions Support Grant. Two schemes are available but eligible companies need only apply to one scheme. - For details of the Local Restrictions Grant (closed) please click here.

Businesses that do not pay business rates and have been adversely affected by local Tier 2 and Tier 3 restrictions and the most recent national lockdown may be eligible for a one-off grants of £2000 under the Additional Restrictions Grant scheme.

Altrincham Christmas Lights
Altrincham's Christmas lights, which are funded by BID businesses in the town in partnership with the Stamford Quarter, were switched on last month.
Festive Favourite Window Competition
A reminder to businesses who are taking part in the Festive Favourite window competition that judging will take place on Tuesday 15th December 3-5pm. There will also be a Facebook 'People's Choice' competition in partnership with Altrincham Today which will be launched the following day, giving your festive window exposure to thousands. Elf Trail
A reminder to businesses who are taking part in the family Elf Trail that we will be be setting up the trail and delivering your clue on Thursday 17th December. The trail takes place from Monday 21st - Wednesday 23rd December (10-4pm) with families finding clues hidden in the shop windows, encouraging families to visit the town safely.
Late Night Christmas Shopping at Altrincham Market
Altrincham Market will be open for late night shopping on Saturday 12th & 19th (8am-6pm). Please let us know if your business is opening late and we will share your opening times on social media.
