    Pathway Scholars forge ahead

Please consider donating to ATDP's new scholarship fund during Cal's Big Give this spring

Last summer introduced our new Pathway Scholarship, partnering with Bay Area schools to identify outstanding candidates with financial need. This award is donor-funded, and provides additional support beyond ATDP’s limited financial aid budget.

In our first year, we were able to provide eight scholars each with one ATDP course, completely cost-free. UC Berkeley's Big Give fundraising event—typically held in March—is a chance for families to help us increase that number in 2022!

We hope you'll keep an eye out for the Big Give announcement this spring!

Now Accepting Applications for Secondary Division TA Interns

ATDP is a learning community, and teaching assistants are highly valued ambassadors. In many ATDP classes, teaching assistant interns act as role models, facilitate student learning, and build community. Prospective TAs can apply to the program through a form on our website.

Please note that most successful applicants come recommended by their former instructors or have been in contact with their instructors about the TA intern role.

For more information please visit our website.

ATDP Faculty Director begins term as APA President

Back in November of 2020, we shared the exciting news that ATDP's Faculty Director, Dr. Frank C. Worrell (pictured at right), was elected president of the American Psychological Association (APA). Professor Worrell has recently begun his term of service, and we hope you will join us in wishing him an illustrious and productive year!

Masason Foundation applications available this month

The Masason Foundation provides funding for talented young people to pursue opportunities that support their ambitious, humanistic goals. The application process is highly selective. The Foundation recently published information about its program, application, and briefing session for the 2022 cohort ("Generation 6"); apps open on January 18.

If you or any talented students you know have a specific passion that aims for a brighter future, we encourage you to check it out!
