Sharm Scheuerman: May 16, 1934 – August 30, 2010

The news I have to share with you today is difficult. After 76 years lived on this earth, Sharm my dear husband, my hero, and the founder of BCI, has left us to join Our Father in Heaven. As you know, Sharm had endured prostate cancer, which spread to his bones, for the past seven years. He managed it with grace, humor, and faith, and all while working toward the vision of growing the BCI organization he loved. He died peacefully at home, while taking comfort in God’s plan for him.

I’m including a link to the press release, so that you can learn more about the man who started this great adventure.

Also, please consider writing something in memory of Sharm on our Gratitude Wall.

Family and friends will gather in celebration of Sharm’s life on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 3pm, at Greenwood Community Church, 5600 East Belleview Avenue, Greenwood Village, CO. A reception will follow at Glenmoor Country Club, 110 Glenmoor Drive, Cherry Hills Village, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to support BCI’s Basketball Plus camps and clinics for kids. Donations may be made at www.bciedge.org/contribute or mailed to:

re: Sharm’s Memorial Fund

Thank you for being a part of our lives. Your support meant the world to Sharm, and it still means so much to me, to Sharm’s family, and to everyone at BCI. As we remember Sharm and continue his vision and goals for this organization, we will all move forward together. As Sharm often said, with his heart full of love and purpose, I am…

Looking Up,

Kathy Scheuerman
