PreK eNews

The children are so excited about Bike Day!  You will find a permission slip in your child’s folder today.  Please sign and return the form next week. Also, refer to the important information below to help make this event safe and fun for your child!

We can hardly believe that our last days of PreK are upon us!  This school year has been filled with learning, laughter, friendships, and fun!  We thank you, parents, for the support and encouragement from each of you.  Thank you for sharing your child with us.  We also thank Jesus for His unending grace, mercy, and love.  We felt His presence each day!

We wish each of you a blessed, safe summer.  Many of us can testify that the days are long but the years are short!  Enjoy the time with your little ones!

Upcoming Week

  • Bible Verse: Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother.” (We will recite this verse in chapel on Thursday. Practice at home too!)
  • Bible Story: Jonah
  • Reading/Phonemic Awareness: Review
  • Math:  Review
  • Unit: Ocean
  • Show and Tell: No show and tell this week!

Important Dates

  • May 17 – Bike Day for PreK/3 day classes
  • -“Bikes” may be tricycles, big wheels, bicycles with training wheels, etc…but it is very important that children can independently ride the riding toy they bring!  (please check to make sure it is working properly…i.e., air in tires, training wheels and bike seats tightened.)
  • - Students MUST have a helmet to ride! (we stress safety…so not having a helmet isn’t an option).
  • - Please put sunscreen on your child before coming to school.
  • - You will drop off the bike and helmet by the Kidz Theatre (under the awning by arrival/dismissal area) when you bring your child to school…and pick it up in the same place that afternoon.  Look for the sign with the teacher’s name and put bike there.
  • - Bring an extra water bottle and put it in the cooler by the sign.
  • - Please LABEL bikes, helmets and water bottles with your child’s name.
  • May 18 – Last day of school for 3 day classes (See above information!)
  • May 19 – School holiday
  • May 23 – Bike Day and last day of school for 5 day classes
  • May 24- PRE-K Parent/Teacher Conferences
