"Beat the Heat" alert issued during heat wave

An early July heat wave resulted in the distribution of a"Beat the Heat" alert issued by the Sonoma-Marin Saving Water Partnership.  The alerts are issued through the media and to Sonoma County Water Agency wholesale customers urging wise water use as a result of heat wave conditions. High outdoor temperatures correlate with high water use; mainly resulting from an increase in outdoor irrigation.  The alerts educate our community on how to both keep outdoor vegetation alive during heat wave conditions while saving water.  View the alert.
