Applications are due by Dec. 1 and awards will be announced in March. Applicants are encouraged to participate in a proposers’ conference or webinar. Learn more and register online.

We soon will announce a renewal process for current grantees. Please be on the lookout for instructions and the renewal application form. If you do not hear from us by October 31, contact Amparo. Grantee Meeting Set for November 6 in Merced

We will gather at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center for our next grantee meeting on Friday, November 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. As a reminder, this is a required meeting and you may send up to three people from your organization. We will start off with lunch with funding partners, hear from experts who are doing work in California on civic engagement, learn more about a regional policy strategy from the San Joaquin Valley Health Fund Policy Committee and more. We will send additional details soon. If you know who from your organization will attend, please register online now.

Caroline Ferrell Uplifting Issues Related to Environmental Justice

On October 1, Caroline Ferrell, Executive Director of Center on Race, Poverty & the Environment, will be on a webinar panel to discuss the Pope’s position and its bearing on global efforts to curb greenhouse gas emissions. This will be a free webinar offered by the Environmental Law Institute and a wonderful opportunity for the Center on Race, Poverty & the Environment, a San Joaquin Valley Health Fund grantee, to highlight the important environmental justice issues facing the Valley. Get more information and register for the webinar on the Environmental Law Institute web site.
