The event honored Tai and Tony Wang, founders of WAC Lighting and the Glow Foundation, New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson, the Nan Shan Senior Center Advisory Board, and CPC’s Asian Family Services program for their exemplary work, commitment, and dedication. 

Chinatown Senior Center Celebrates Lunar New Year

The seniors at the CPC Chinatown Senior Citizen Center were treated to two packed days of Lunar New Year activities, including karaoke, Tai Chi, and traditional song and dance to celebrate the Year of the Dog! 

CPC Advocates for Restoration of Child Welfare Funding

CPC stood with the New York State Child Welfare Coalition and fellow supporters to urge the Governor and State Legislature to restore child welfare funding by removing the cap on child welfare financing.

On January 31, 2018, Li Chan retired as an assistant teacher at Chung Pak Early Childhood Center. For 29 years, Li has been a friendly, familiar face to the families and staff of the center.

Parents from our Ready Readers classes showed up to participate in their child's read aloud and activities sessions. In celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year, both classes read a dual language book named "The Story of Chopsticks."
