Congress passes continuing resolution, avoids federal government shutdown

WASHINGTON–Congress passed a continuing resolution that will extend funding to federal agencies and programs through Dec. 11. Funding for Planned Parenthood remains intact within the temporary funding measure. The stopgap funding measure is now on its way to President Obama for his signature. 

Under the continuting resolution, funding levels for Indian programs will remain the same as fiscal 2015.
