Webinars and professional learningNCCD | Case study e-learningThe Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) team at ESA has worked with Monash University to create two case study e-learning courses. These are based on the outcomes of the Monash University research project, ‘Assessing the Consistency and Accuracy of Teacher Judgements on the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) on School Students with Disability’ (2019). Drones, Data and Digital Technologies – How they all fit together Join Clair Allen, Kelly Soenario and Dr. Karen Joyce, along with co-host Martin Richards, as they work through an approach to bringing drones into your school, as part of a digital technologies implementation plan. The session is for schools at the early stages of implementation, as well as those that are looking to review and revise their existing approach. Unlocking the Digital Technologies Hub Digital Learning and Teaching Victoria's webinar will guide you through the Digital Technologies Hub – an online portal and resource library supporting the Australian Digital Technologies curriculum. Join content manager Martin Richards and digital education presenter Daryl English to explore ways digital learning can enhance the educational outcomes of students. Professional development for educators and library staffThe Schools Catalogue Information Service (SCIS) free short course Managing your library collection and catalogue is their most popular to date. This short course, along with other professional learning opportunities, will help attendees connect with school communities through improved knowledge, skills and practice. On Tuesday 7 July, the Hub hosted a webinar for pre-service teachers to engage in open conversations about new and emerging challenges they’ll face as they begin their careers. Our next webinar, Relationships and Sexuality Education for Secondary Students with a Disability, is on Monday 24 August at 4 pm. Narragunnawali: Reconciliation in EducationThe Narragunnawali: Reconciliation in Education program supports schools and early learning services in Australia to develop environments that foster a high level of knowledge and pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions. Support for educators in the ELLA programTeachers were provided with ideas and ELLA resources to support language learning through play; both in preschool and for families isolating at home. The ELLA program consists of a series of play-based interactive apps to support learning an additional language in preschool. Adapting in times of changemyfuture | Changes coming soonmyfuture, the National Career Information Service, is making some improvements. Informed by best-practice design methods and extensive research and testing with users and subject matter experts, the changes will make it easier for students, teachers and parents to explore myfuture’s career tools and resources. ECRH | How early years educators are responding to changeExplore how early years educators have responded to change this year, through the stories of five educators from around Australia. Read about their experiences, and access resources that may help children and staff members with deepening concerns and anxiety. Scootle’s guest login featureScootle now offers a Guest login feature as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting school communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Logging in as a guest gives visitors access to resources that are aligned to the Australian Curriculum. Equity in STEM educationDesigning equitable learning experiencesThe Girls in STEM Toolkit provides resources to inspire and inform girls, schools and families in science, technology, engineering and maths. One of the toolkit’s most helpful resources is the Seven principles for a gender-inclusive learning environment.
