Greetings from your Community BoardMessage from the ChairKia ora koutou, Highlights from our latest meetingOur Community Board met on Tuesday 1 September. Some highlights of our meeting approving No Stopping Restrictions on a part of Rich Terrace and The Runway in Wigram, in response to requests from local residents, who have concerns relating to parking activity on this street. We also approved No Stopping Restrictions on a part of Eaglesome Avenue and Te Pihopa Way and Te Pihopa Way and Meeking Place in Aidanfield. Update on Cox's Quaifes stormwater facilityThe stormwater facility on Quaifes Road is progressing well. The new waterway channel and culvert in front of the facility are online and operational and the road will reopen soon. We have a little bit more to do but it won’t be long until the facility will be open and ready for use. Planted with wetland plants, this facility will help reduce risk of flooding, improve water quality and include beautiful new recreational spaces for our communities to enjoy and interact with nature. Community spirit blossoms at Hornby planting eventCommunity volunteers recently joined forces with Parks Ranger Heidi Wilton for a planting day at Hornby's Carradale Drainage Reserve. Ashley and Carl Johnstone (Volunteer Coordinators for Carradale) and the Carradale Drive community got together for their annual planting session.
