“It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done.”

Be good at lots of things
We live in a world that loves to put us in boxes. Where “What do you do?” is usually expected to have a simple, single answer. Where we’re often told if you are good at x, you can’t also be good at y. But that isn’t fair. We don’t live in a world of one trick ponies. (Even though that would be kind of cool, especially if they were good pony tricks.)
Similarly, it’s hard to pin down &yet. What do we do? JavaScript? Security? UX? Development? Architecture? Realtime? Yes. Yes. Yes. Uh, yep, that too.
Individually and collectively we’ve always had a hard time saying what we do. We realized an easier thing to do is to tell some stories and show some work. So we’ve recently added case studies and our design portfolio to &yet's site. We’d love to hear what you think!
And we’re currently taking on new projects at &yet, so let us know if you’d like to work with us! We promise we’ll wear our best hats. Just all of them.
Special thanks to Lynn Fisher for inspiring this week’s topic with both her &yetConf talk (video coming soon!) and this awesome blog post!
