"Tech Innovators Day at Dell" By Ingrid Vanderbelt discusses the first-ever Tech Innovators Day at Dell. At this event, Dell invited 15 high-potential entrepreneurs, including HTC Client SHMsoft, to the Round Rock headquarters for a unique opportunity to meet with Steve Felica, Dell's President and Chief Commercial Officer and other senior-level Dell executives to gather valuable feedback and advice as they grow their companies.

HATCH Startup Pitch Competition Accepting Applications Through February 4
HATCH, presented by The Houston Technology Center,
is a pitch competition for startups with revolutionary ideas. Twelve finalists will present their business plans to a panel of corporate, angel, and venture investor judges at a well-connected SXSW audience on March 10, in Austin, TX.

HATCH is looking for startups with disruptive product and strong growth potential in:
• Cloud tech and services • Mobile and connected devices • Web tech
• Collaborative tech • Big data • Virtual tech • Media and entertainment
• Health and healthcare IT

HATCH alum and HTC client Qukku is running a “Are you HATCH-worthy?” video contest. The top-rated videos receive special consideration by the HATCH screening committee and the first place video will be played at the competition.

SpaceUp Houston 2013 Unconference - February 9
The SpaceUp Houston 2013 Unconference is where participants decide the topics of the event. Everyone who attends SpaceUp is encouraged to give a talk, moderate a panel, or start a discussion. Sessions are proposed and scheduled on the day they’re given, which means the usual “hallway conversations” turn into full-fledged topics. The year’s event will feature four discussion sessions in which three rooms are active for each session – that’s 12 space related discussions that you can’t get enough of.
