As always at this time of year, Crofton House School is filled with a sense of joy and festive spirit. We have enjoyed coming together to celebrate the holidays and our age-old tradition of giving and supporting those less fortunate. In this newsletter, we are pleased to showcase how generations of Crofton House students have contributed to making the world a better place, and highlight CHS alumnae holiday celebrations. With service programs dating back to the early 1920s, Crofton House School has a long-standing tradition of giving back to the community. From the Victorian Order of Nurses, to the Save the Children's Fund, to UNICEF, to the YWCA, the CHS community has contributed to countless efforts over the years and can proudly say it has provided companionship, food, water, and warmth to those most in need.

Nearly 100 Crofton House alumnae reunited at the fifth annual Seasonal Social this year. The event was once again held at the Vancouver Sheraton Wall Centre in advance of the Carol Service. It was wonderful to welcome alumnae back from across the decades to share in this important CHS tradition. Enjoy a slideshow of photos from the event.

The renovation and restoration of the Old Residence was made possible through the generous gift of the Young Family in honour of Mary Margaret (Finning) Young ‘41. The Board of Governors is pleased to acknowledge the Young Family’s contribution on a plaque inside the Old Residence. Read more »
In addition, the Board of Governors has included another plaque in the building, gratefully acknowledging the Lam Family for their thoughtful gift in honour of Dorothy Tan Lam, wife of the Honourable David C. Lam, the 25th Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia, and grandmother to four Crofton House School students. Read more »
On Saturday December 1, 2012, 35 alumnae from the class of 1944 to the class of 2000 reunited at the Fairmont Empress Victoria Hotel for the 14th annual Crofton House School Afternoon Tea. Read more »
