9% of the total population of Canada is living abroad. This is approx. 3.5x higher than the percentage of the Chinese population that is living abroad (2.6%).
While there are more Chinese people living outside mainland China than French people live in France, migrants from all countries only represent 3% of the worlds population - 215 million people.
