REFRESH YOUR PERSPECTIVE IN NSW

With its innovative spirit, lively arts scene and connection to First Nations culture, multi-faceted Sydney is always surprising.

Australia’s Aboriginal People have called New South Wales home for 60,000 years and this rich, living heritage hides in plain sight among Sydney’s landmarks, filling the city with a timeless rhythm. Follow our guide, ‘Ways To Connect To Aboriginal Culture’, for cruises, guided walks and performances that unveil the cultural wonders embedded in the city’s iconic scenery.

The perspective-bending discoveries continue as Vivid Sydney 2024 literally sheds new light on the city from 24 May to 15 June. To help you create your ultimate hitlist from a spectacular array of Light, Music, Ideas and Food events, this week we’ve asked festival curators, Gill Minervini, Julian Ramundi and Rachel Healy to share their program highlights. From Vivid Live at Sydney Opera House to Tumbalong Nights and intriguing family-friendly installations, there’s an inspired event for everyone.

Plus, as you’ll see in this week’s Event Spotlight, the action continues to ramp up in the regions – and this weekend’s IRONMAN 70.3 Port Macquarie and  Narooma Oyster Festival are just the start. Check out the Event Spotlight and, whether you’re exploring urban, country or coastal playgrounds, you’ll find inspired festivals, sporting events and cultural attractions bringing people together. Enjoy!
