Smartlink 7.1.0 Released - Important Upgrade

Header

Smartlink version 7.1.0 brings various minor changes as well as a major upgrade to the installer - see the Readme file for more information on the minor fixes.

From version 7.1.0, upgrades to the SQL server should not need to be manually upgraded, which will reduce the time in between future Smartlink upgrades.

If you are currently using version 7.0.9, then use the Check For Updates button within Smartlink to download.

Please note that you can only upgrade to version 7.1.0 if you are currently using version 7.0.9. If you are using version 7.0.8 or lower the installer will not work. Please contact eh@enduroframe.atlassian.net to schedule this upgrade. Click here for the release notes related to this upgrade.

ENDUROTRUSS® Fabrication Poster Available

Header

Based on a request from several licensees we have prepared truss fabrication posters which are available for download. These are an extremely useful addition for any truss assembly plant as they provide all of the connection information as well as rules for inserting fasteners. These can be printed in A0 and laminated to be placed on the factory wall.

These are highly recommended to be used as a QC reference for fabrication teams.

Trimming noggings 5mm to inside of stud

Header

A question raised by several licensees was how to notch noggings, headers and sills so no part extended past the stud. This has been resolved by a new wall detailing option to trim noggings, heads and sills back by 5mm. Information on how this can be done is contained in the ENDUROCADD wall detailing options help screen at this link. User have the option to keep noggings, heads and sills the same or to cut them back by 5mm. Please note that where a nogging, head or sill either precedes or follows a plate, the plate will be notched out by 5mm unless a transition part is selected in Smartlink - click here to find out how to do this.

Flipping bottom plates no longer necessary before panel assembly

Header

It is now possible to select that bottom plates are rollformed in the same direction of top plates avoiding the need to "helicopter" the bottom plate before it is assembled in a wall panel. This can reduce the space required to assemble wall panels and reduce potential safety issues around rotating the part.

Find out how to do this here. Please note that doing this puts the print string on the reverse side of the wall panel.
