Dear Friends of the Palm Beach Gardens Police Foundation:
The Palm Beach Gardens Police Foundation announced today that it has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
Occurring this year on November 29th, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The movement kicks-off the holiday giving season and inspires people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
This year the Police Foundation is dedicating #GivingTuesday to help fund the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department’s Crime Prevention programs which include neighborhood watch, community policing, CPTED design, and crimes against seniors. They engage residents and local organizations, in addressing the factors that contribute to the community’s crime, delinquency, and civil disorder.
