BRIDGING SCIENCE & SPIRIT

Hi Everyone!

Spring is less than a month away! I know it may not feel that way but warmer days are just around the corner. I would like to invite you all to come experience something that may just lift your spirits and transform your world from the inside out. As some of you may know I have studied with quite a few teachers along the way. Over the past 7yrs I have been studying with one particular teacher by the name of Derek O'Neill. I met this extraordinary man back in 2003 and have been traveling back and forth to Dublin Ireland (where he lives) ever since! There are many teachers out there some good, some great and some that it's hard to find words for, this for me represents what I have found in Derek. The only way for you to know what the truth is for you is to have an experience. We can't REALLY know until we have the experience for ourselves...So if your just curious like I was back then, come and join us on Sunday March 6th for a workshop that may just allow the change you have been hoping for to happen. Nutritional Tip- The power of chia seeds

Chia seeds are an amazing superfood that have been utilized back to the ancient Aztecs. These tiny little seeds have twice the protein of any other seed or grain and 5 times the calcium of milk. In addition they contain boron (helps to bring calcium into bone) and other minerals as well as the powerful omega 3's and 6's in a healthy 3:1 ratio. They are high in antioxidants and a good source of sustained energy for endurance exercise.

"Chia" is the Mayan word for strength

Chia seeds have been found to be very helpful for blood sugar control, a digestive aid, a good source of fiber as well as helping to reduce food cravings due to slow absorption and conversion to sugar.

When you hydrate the seeds in water the shell opens up and absorbs 9times its volume in water forming a gel (Chia gel) This gel can be added to smoothies or taking as is...note that chia gel has no particular taste. For flavor add to juice, nut milk, cereals, jams, jellies, yogurt, soups, sauces, dips etc.

As a digestion aid: take 2 tablespoons of chia gel with each meal for better absorption and increase assimilation of nutrients. Good for indigestion and heartburn.
