Projection or Flat Panel: The Dilemma

While the majority of these consumer applications use flat panels from a few inches on a cell phone up to 90 inches diagonally, it is incumbent on us in the commercial audio visual space and even home theater to continue to look beyond the confines of a flat panel display and examine where projection may be an adequate or even superior design solution. Key examples of this would be boardrooms, training centers, and houses of worship, as well as auditoriums, rental and staging applications, etc. In other words, projectors may be the best choice anywhere a large image is required beyond the confines of typical flat panel display sizes, and also in portable applications where a projector can be moved from one location to another with ease.
