Picnic in the Sculpture Park

After a difficult couple of months, what better way to celebrate reconnecting with MAC than with a tranquil afternoon in the Sculpture Park.

For those unfamiliar, the Sculpture Park was launched in 1996 with the installation of Richard Tipping’s Hear the art and Ted Prior’s Love boat.

Since then, the sculpture park has continued to develop and currently comprises sixteen sculptures by artists: Jamie North, Richard Tipping, Nigel Helyer, Janet Laurence, Fatu Feu’u, John Turier, Braddon Snape, Graham Gilchrist, Ted Prior, Susan Morris and Trevor Weekes.

To discover more about these works, ask Visitor's Services for a free Sculpture Park Discovery Trail for families and enjoy a leisurely walk in the museum grounds.

Enjoy art, fresh air, and a breathtaking view of the lake view while you enjoy lunch, coffee or a glass of wine from the Sculpture Cafe.

It's the perfect place for a family picnic!

But don't just take our word for it - come and enjoy it for yourself.
