Technical Features blue'Log and Portal

Dear Business Partner,

With the introduction of blue’Log, the new generation of data loggers, a number of changes have been made to the saferĀ“Sun Professional (SSP) and virtual control room (VCOM) portals too. Important new technical features relating to the blue’Log and portals are presented below.

Creating and assignment of PV systems in the SSP can now be done on the blue’Log data logger itself

meteocontrol partners can now create a system in the portal on the blue’Log data logger itself. All that is needed is access to the portal with the required partner authorizations. In the process, the project or system name is carried over from the blue’Log for use in the portal.

Alternatively, the blue’Log can also be assigned to an existing system in the portal. This is carried out via the data logger overview page for the relevant system, where the serial numbers can be registered.

  • The entire setup can be performed on the blue’Log.
  • Remote access via the portal is possible even during the setup phase.

Data logger overview page in the SSP/VCOM

As soon as the blue’Log is selected as the measured value system for a PV system, the newly developed data logger overview page can be accessed. In the VCOM, select the "blue'Log overview" portlet. The new "remote access" and "inverter configuration" functions available there are explained in more detail below.

Remote access via the SSP/VCOM portal

With remote access via the portal, remote configuration of the blue’Log can be performed at any time and any changes take effect immediately because they are made on the device itself. At the same time, remote access further improves usability thanks to a standardized configuration interface in the form of the blue’Log web pages. Furthermore, second and minute values from the data logger are now available as live diagrams.

Inverter configuration is automatically created in the SSP

By importing measurement data, the inverter configuration is automatically carried over to the portal. As a result, no separate scan is needed in the portal. The inverter designations on the device are automatically carried over to the portal too. If necessary, the inverter configuration can be requested directly from the blue’Log.

Easier term configuration in the SSP

blue’Log systems also offer a new configuration page which allows the feed-in meter and irradiance on the module plane to be specified quickly. As an option for feed-in meters, the energy sum of the inverters or a particular meter can be specified. For the irradiance on the module plane, one of the available sensors can be selected. The necessary terms are then automatically created. The advanced configuration (previous solution) remains available at the same time.

Visualization of sensors and meters for blue’Log systems in the SSP/VCOM

Like the blue’Log web pages, the portal pages have their own menu items for sensors (irradiance, temperature) and meters (S0, power quality analyzer). This modified menu structure is enabled for all blue’Log systems.
