The new GECA Scheme will follow the latest ISEAL frameworks for good practice. Our scheme will continue to be in line and committed to best practice through our GEN membership - along with our top tier standing as part of GEN's Internationally Coordinated Ecolabelling System (GENICES). We believe that global harmonisation is vital in an international market and supply chain. Importantly, this will also provide increased overseas opportunities for our Australian licensees. We'll shortly be hosting a Q&A webinar for our licensees to answer any questions. Exciting New Portal for GECA LicenseesWe're excited to announce that we're developing a new online portal to streamline and improve the GECA certification process! The first standard to be added to the portal will be Furniture, Fittings, Foam & Mattresses Level A (FFFMv3 0-2017). If you are an existing licensee under the Furniture, Fittings & Foam Level A (FFFv2.1i-2010) standard, and will be re-certifying in the next six months, let us know if you would like to be an early adopter of the portal. Aspect Furniture SystemsAspect designs and manufactures cutting-edge commercial furniture for today’s ever-evolving workplace. We're delighted that they have not only re-certified existing products but have also added several new products! On 5-7 March, Aspect will be launching their new showroom in the heart of Melbourne. Cubic Access FloorsCubic Access Floors are members of the world wide JVP network, a specialised manufacturer of raised access floors. The Cubic Access Floor system is fully integrated with underfloor building services and provides a variety of floor finishes such as carpet tiles, rubber coverings, ceramic and parquets and stone. UTS Report: Putting a Price on ReputationAccording to a recent study by researchers at the University of Technology Sydney, consumers are willing to pay more for products that not only have the features they want but also are delivered by businesses with a good reputation. World's First Commercial E-Waste MicrofactoryThe Australia and New Zealand Recycling Platform has announced plans to build the world’s first commercial e-waste plastic microfactory. In partnership with UNSW SMaRT Centre and electronics recycler TES, the microfactory will process up to 500,000 kilograms of waste plastic per year.
