I enjoyed Amy's backyard dance party last year, and this party could be even better. The fun starts at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 with the Rockin' Randall and His Honkabilly Blues Band. Bring your shoes for dancing in the grass, and make sure you're in them. BYOB, any snack to share. There will be some provided. All "Leos" are expected to attend! We welcome the Gulfport Ramblers back to the St. Petersburg music scene.  Guitarist Maureen Kilroy was sidelined in a bicycle accident, and the band has been inactive most of the summer. Check out the band at Ricky P's Bistro, 1113 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. There's an outdoor patio where the bands set up.  Gulfport Ramblers plays 7-10 p.m. No cover, but tips appreciated. Enjoy some of Ricky P's tempting food and beverages so they'll ask us back!

Dwayne Dopsie & The Zydeco Hellraisers are revisiting Indian Rocks Beach, FL for Cuso's Mardi Gras in September Festival on September 14, 15 and 16, 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. (6-10 p.m. on Sunday). This hard-driving zydeco band from Bourbon Street in New Orleans recently toured California, is currently touring Brazil, and will be touring Africa soon. Jane Hance is teaching 2-hour classes on country western two-step at Dance America Dance Studio (also known as "Dads"), 4445 E.
