This is the first installment of Newberg Physical Therapy’s e-newsletter. We are happy to start writing a quarterly newsletter to keep you up to date on news regarding the clinic, updates in Physical Therapy, and some tips that you might find helpful.

Patrick Adds New Addition to Family!
|
These last few months have brought on a lot of new changes around the clinic. We are happy to inform all of our patients that on March 2nd at 2:34 A.M. Patrick’s wife Adrienne gave birth to their first son Wesley James Bridge. He was 7 lbs, 9 oz. He has brought them a tremendous amount of joy, especially when he decides to sleep through the night.

Teresa Adds New Addition to Family!
|
Teresa and her husband have a new addition to their family, as well! Granddaughter Audrey arrived on March 30th.
She came into the world weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz and 20” long and in 6 short weeks is already 10 lbs. 2oz.!

Patrick Bridge, Clinic Director, Obtains CMPT Certification
|
Patrick recently obtained his CMPT (Certified Manual Physical Therapist) certification. This is the culmination of 147 hours of advanced clinical education, 4 online tests, a few months of studying, and a 2 station oral practical exam. He is the only provider in Yamhill County to hold this designation.

Summer Announcements
|
|
|
With Summer right around the corner we will be starting a weekly running group at the clinic. This group will be meeting at 6 AM on Wednesdays this summer and will consist of a 2-4 mile run that has a social feel to it. All ability levels are welcomed including those who have not been running recently but would like to start a running program. Runs will be designed to accommodate all ability levels. Contact the clinic if you are interested!
We will also be holding a booth at the Newberg Old Fashioned Festival from July 28-31st as well as providing basic medical care for the 5K run on Sunday morning. Come stop by the booth and say hi!

What’s New in Physical Therapy?
|
|
A law was passed in late April that allows Physical Therapists in the state of Wisconsin to order x-ray images for patients. This is a move in the right direction for our profession.
