Dear HFI Reservist,

By now you are aware of the tornado outbreak that struck Indiana & Ohio. Hope Force has a significant partnership with Crossroads Church in Cincinnati, which also has a presence in Dayton. We have been in communication with their leadership, and they are asking that we join them in their relief efforts.

An HFI assessment team is heading to the area. More information will be available soon. We will focus primarily on blue tarp application in an effort to minimize further damage stemming from water penetration.

IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN BLUE TARP APPLICATION, ROOFING OR HAVE BASIC SKILLS AND FEEL SECURE WORKING ON A ROOF – WE WILL NEED YOUR HELP!!!  

We are looking for immediate availability, and are uncertain as to how long the deployment window will last.

• Housing: Plan to sleep on the floor – bring mats/cots & sleeping gear
• Meals: Provided by Hope Force

What you need to do now:

• Conduct a self-assessment: "Is this a good time for me to consider deploying?"
• Pray about participating
• If you may be available, please REPLY HERE  to this with the following:

4. Date of availability (as best you know)

• Prepare your deployment gear & supplies
• Communicate with family, friends and employer about possible deployment.  (They may even want to support you in this adventure. If they want a tax receipt, they can give online on the website and mark in "special notes":  (put your name in here) Ohio Tornado deployment.
• Complete any unfinished paperwork immediately, including a background check, if you have not already done so with Hope Force. (Details to follow, after you notify us of your interest to go.)
