One Birthmother's StoryI thought this was an interesting perspective: YOU Can Make a HUGE Difference!Sometime this coming Holiday Season, you'll hear about a neice, neighbor, friend, daughter of a friend -- someone who is facing an unplanned pregnancy. Be ready to suggest that she make an adoption plan! Everyday I look at my daughter I'm reminded of the love her birth mom had for her ... choosing life, choosing parents and a home. Encourage someone to be part of the miracle of creating a new family! Definition of 'birthmom': a woman who gives birth to a child who is later adopted or for whom an adoption is planned. We promote adoption as a positive option for those facing unplanned pregnancies. It can be so very good (and beautiful!) for all involved.
Unplanned Good is reaching out to both teens and their parents, to let them know that adoption is an option. Studies have shown that girls are 50% more likely to see their pregnancy through and make an adoption plan when an adult suggests this path.
