Jesse Beat Cancer!

Dear ,

Jesse and Paul
Jesse and Chemo Pal mentor, Paul

An accomplishment of this magnitude deserves special recognition. So, Jesse’s awesome Chemo Pal mentor, Paul, made these loud-and-proud t-shirts to celebrate the occasion. We’re so happy for Jesse, and so grateful to Paul for his generous heart.

Through CCA’s Chemo Pal Mentor Program, kids like Jesse have a trusted adult friend in their corner throughout their long and painful cancer treatment. Chemo Pal mentors lift a child’s spirit in countless ways, taking them to Blazer games, going bowling, or just sharing quiet time together reading and playing games. They also give parents a welcome break so they can grab a quick meal or spend time with their other children.

We need to fund 20 Chemo Pal mentor matches for kids and teens by August 31.

Will you help fund 20 Chemo Pal mentor matches today? It costs $1,700 to fund a match for the year, and any part of that helps. Please give what you can, whether it’s $17, $170, or $1,700, you will make a difference for seriously ill kids just like Jesse.

CCA provides this free, innovative program – the only one of its kind in the nation – to 260 local kids. See the power of this program in a two minute video featuring another Chemo Pal mentor match, Mason and his pal, Kiva.

We are proud that CCA’s Chemo Pal Mentor Program:

  • Won Exceptional Mentoring Program of the Year in 2012 by Oregon Mentors
  • Matched over 1,000 children with Chemo Pal mentors since 1999
  • Provides a Chemo Pal mentor to every child who wants one - free of charge - for an average of 24 months

Thank you for taking a moment to consider sponsoring one child this August for $1,700*, allowing us to deliver the power of a friend in a child’s greatest moment of need. If you’re inspired, here’s a link to make your gift online or click here for a mail in form.

With heartfelt thanks for your consideration today,

Regina
