Hello to all our clients and business friends, and welcome to the Life Relocation December 2013 Newsletter.
As the end of the year is fast approaching, like many of you I’ve been reflecting on 2013 and working on our strategic plan for 2014.
Life Relocation recently completed a three-year major relocation partnership assisting a client with the closure of their facility in New South Wales. We initally advised employees on all aspects of the relocation and then managed the workforce transfers from Sydney to Melbourne over the past three years. While the closure of a business is never easy, I'm proud of the work we did to assist employees and their families throughout this process. This was a tremendous team effort by everyone involved and a great example of our diverse relocation services.
There have been many changes with immigration this year, particularly the introduction of the Migration Amendment (Temporary Sponsored Visas) Act 2013 and changes to the Temporary Work (Skilled) visa, subclass 457.
This year has also seen an increasing number of our clients successfully utilise the new Temporary Work (Short Stay Activity) visa, subclass 400 (introduced in March) for short-term projects and work assignments. Please don’t hesitate to contact a member of my team if you’d like to know more.
In recent months we’ve noticed a rise in the stress levels of relocating clients as well as a push for immediate responses to non-urgent enquiries. This change in response pace is very much in line with client use of social media.
Your Life Relocation team prides itself on exemplary customer service and we are exploring new communication methods to ensure we are meeting the changing needs of our valued customers.
I am also excited to announce we will be hosting a number of client business briefings next year to assist you with your company’s relocation and visa activities.
The first event, to be held in March, will focus on the issue of employee health and wellbeing before, during and after life relocation, particularly for families who are relocating for the first time. We look forward to sharing more information about this event in the New Year.
Finally, let me take this opportunity to wish you, our valued clients, all the very best for a happy and safe festive season and we look forward to working with you again in 2014.
Warm regards,
