WAITROSE ANNOUNCED AS FIRST RETAILER DEAL AT LONDON’S KING’S CROSS |
|
Waitrose has agreed a deal to open a full line food and wine shop and cookery school at one of the King’s Cross development’s emblematic listed buildings. The supermarket has signed a 25 year lease for a 29,000 sq ft gross food and wine shop and a 10 year lease for a 3,000 sq ft cookery school.
The retailer also has plans for a store café with tables spilling out at the southern end of the building, beside the Regent’s Canal.

With its 42 metre diameter, the Gasholder will form the perimeter of a new park and public space on the banks of the Regent’s Canal, for which a planning application is being submitted.

Sitting between King’s Cross and St Pancras International, the Grade II listed building has been meticulously restored as a 91-bedroom boutique hotel.
The Great Northern Hotel is also home to Plum and Spilt Milk, a 90-cover restaurant serving classic British and European dishes, and the GNH Bar, which takes up most of the ground floor.
