We only need look at the record profits of large technology providers to see the truth in that. However, much of that digitisation has, understandably, been for customer-facing channels and to enable staff to work remotely. For many, core internal business systems remain a deadweight that impacts not only business insights and decision making but also staff morale and productivity. And for the mid-market, that’s having some serious ramifications with Forrester analysis showing that Australian mid-market companies are short-changing themselves an average of $2.7 million a year each through lost productivity on the back of legacy tech.
