Hi there,

Much has been made about how the Covid-19 pandemic has driven a wave of digital transformation. We only need look at the record profits of large technology providers to see the truth in that.

However, much of that digitisation has, understandably, been for customer-facing channels and to enable staff to work remotely. For many, core internal business systems remain a deadweight that impacts not only business insights and decision making but also staff morale and productivity.

And for the mid-market, that’s having some serious ramifications with Forrester analysis showing that Australian mid-market companies are short-changing themselves an average of $2.7 million a year each through lost productivity on the back of legacy tech.

As we attempt to rev up the economy, it’s time to address a long-standing issue by encouraging Kiwi businesses to invest in modernising their technology foundations.
