By signing up to the Fight for the Murray campaign - and showing your support for the river - you have helped win billions more litres of water for our Murray!

The Prime Minister came to Adelaide today to announce that the Federal Government will commit to return 3,200 billion litres of water to the River Murray.

This is a big win for Australians, who have stood together to campaign for more water to be returned to the river.

When South Australia was being asked to accept that just 2,750 gigalitres of water be returned to the river, we stood firm.

I asked all Australians to stand up and make their voices heard and people all over the country who love the Murray have answered that call.

We demanded that the Federal Government listen to the scientists and return more water.

We have convinced the Prime Minister to do what is right for the River Murray and its communities.

This means more water for the river, extra funding for environmental works and extra funding for river communities so they won’t bear any more burden.

I want to thank all of you for being part of the campaign.

We wouldn't have reached this agreement with Canberra for more water for the Murray without your support.
