Thank You - And Happy New Year!

As the holiday season comes to a close, the Police Foundation hopes that all have had a pleasant, fun, and most importantly, safe holiday.

We also hope that you are proud of all that the Police Foundation has accomplished over the past few years, thanks to your backing, and we look forward to your continuing support in the years to come.

We wish you a Happy New Year! May it be filled with new adventures, good fortunes, health, and above all, safety.

Officer Mark Saloio Sworn in

Police Officer Mark Saloio was introduced to the Town of Juno Beach by Chief of Police Brian Smith at the December Town Council Meeting.

Officer Saloio was then sworn in by Juno Beach Town Clerk Caitlin Copeland as other members of the Police Department and numerous Town residents looked on.

Mark has served over 28 years in law enforcement, the majority of which were for the Sturbridge Massachusetts Police Department where he rose to Administrative Lieutenant, an Executive Officer Position. Mark left Sturbridge to serve as Chief of Police with the Tisbury Massachusetts Police Department. During his tenure and just prior to his retirement, Tisbury obtained certification through the Massachusetts Accreditation Commission.

In addition to his Masters degree from Westfield State University, Mark attended the Southern Police Institute Command Officer Development Course, Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command, Roger Williams' University Executive Development Program, and is an FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association Trilogy Award recipient. Mark also served as an assessor and Commissioner, with the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission.

Following his swearing in Mark commented  - "I am looking forward to serving the Juno Beach community and our Police Department in any way possible. Everyone has been terrific here and has extended me and my wife a very warm welcome. Juno Beach is a wonderful community."

The Police Foundation is pleased to welcome Officer Mark Saloio to the Juno Beach Police Department.

Police Foundation Annual Campaign

The Annual Campaign of the Juno Beach Police Foundation began on December 10th with a direct mail piece sent to all residents, business owners, and friends of the Police Foundation asking for their support.

Incorporated in 2018, the Police Foundation has, with the support of the community, purchased numerous important items for the Juno Beach Police Department to help improve both their efficiency and safety.

Among the items purchased were both a Beach Patrol truck and an all-terrain vehicle to help increase patrols on our fabulous beachfront; a street-legal golf car for patrols in the Ocean Drive, Pelican Lake, Kagan Park, and surrounding neighborhoods; a Police Drone for aerial perspectives of events, protests, and traffic situations; a firearms simulator for Officer in-service training; first aid training and life safety equipment for patrol vehicles... and much, much more.

With the support of our Juno Beach community the Police Foundation will continue in its efforts to "Help Ensure the Safety of Juno Beach"

Coffee With A Cop

Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, Chief Smith has announced that the next Coffee With A Cop will NOT be held in January.

He hopes that it can once again be restarted in February 2022.

Holiday Parade in Juno Beach

The Town's 2021 Holiday Parade took place on December 10th with some 22 vehicles in the parade route. Our Palm Beach County Fire Truck carried Santa on their Hook & Ladder truck for all the youngsters to see. Thank you to all who participated.
