Mike has been with the CIF since its beginning in 2008, and has served as Managing Director since 2011. We plan to give Mike a proper, albeit digital, send off in December. Details to come. Beginning February 2021, Geoff Rathbone will take the reins as Managing Director at the CIF. Geoff was previously the City of Toronto’s General Manager for Solid Waste Management Services and Vice President of Resource Recovery at Progressive Waste Solutions. Most recently, he was Director of Transition at the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority, where he was responsible for overseeing the wind up of legacy waste diversion programs in order to transition the materials to Ontario’s new individual producer responsibility regulatory framework. We are also pleased to share that Carrie Nash will take on the role of Associate Director beginning January 1, 2021. Her responsibilities will grow over her tenure with a transition to the Managing Director role in 2023. Carrie has been with the CIF since 2012, is well versed in daily operations, and will help provide continuity as CIF begins this next phase of its operation. |
