What a great two weeks of rhyming!  We will continue practicing this skill all year long, as it is very important for reading.  Next week we will learn about different kinds of apples that God made and taste several varieties. 

Thanks also for helping your child bring Show and Tell each week…it is very helpful, especially now that we’re starting letters/sounds.  Show and Tell is on Friday of every week.

• Bible Verse: “When I am afraid, I will trust in You.”  Psalm 56:3   
• Bible: Joseph
• Phonics/Reading: Letter and “hard” sound of Cc
• Math: # 4 ABC Patterns
• Unit: Apples
• Show and Tell: Bring something that begins with the “hard” sound of C such as cow or camera.

• Please remember to send box tops with your child. The class with the most box tops receives a trophy every month!
• If you have not sent in snacks for your child’s classroom, please do so ASAP.

• September 29th: Grandparent’s Day Program in the Cross Church Sanctuary - At 8:15 a.m. After the program, grandparents are invited to visit our classroom.  Early Dismissal, no extended care.
• October 3rd: Field Trip to McGarrah Farms in Pea Ridge.  Bring disposable lunch.  Bus leaves at 8:30 and will return at 12:30.
• October 5th:  Cookie Dough Delivery
• October 9th:  Flue Clinic.  Forms will be sent home today.
• October 16th:  Parent/Teacher Conferences.  No school for students.
• October 20th:  Homecoming Party 2:30  
• October 24th:  Junior Carnival at SEC gym at Springdale Campus
