Effective use of individual and agency coaches in physical education and sport

The Association for PE has updated its guidance on the effective use of individual and agency coaches in physical education and sport (PES). It is important that you share this document with Head teachers, Governors and staff to ensure that the workforce responsible for PE and sport is appropriately employed and deployed. Sports Coach UK Revamp of Portal

Sports coach UK, with the support of National Partners, has revamped the Coaching in Primary Schools Portal following recommendations from schools across England. The Portal is a free to access resource for schools identifying a need for coaching through the Primary PE and Sport Premium. With just a couple of clicks, Head Teachers and PE Leads can find all the information they require to effectively and sustainably recruit and deploy a coach in their school. More>>>

Evidencing the Impact of the Primary School Sport Premium when employing coaches and specialist teachers in primary schools

This is a new resource for 2016 being provided for schools in Cumbria.

It will be published in early February and provided to headteachers attending the next round of PHA meetings.  It will be available electronically and as a hard copy to all schools and community coaches that have attended the Impact Factor workshops

Primary Schools Open Day at Emirates Old Trafford 2016

TUESDAY 21ST JUNE 2016

Once again Lancashire County Cricket Club will be opening its gates to schools from across the North West for a fun-filled day at Emirates Old Trafford.

Please note that the event this year will only be open to PRIMARY SCHOOLS. Last year over 3500 schoolchildren watched Lancashire County Cricket Club in action as well as getting active in the large entertainment zone.

Please ‘Save the Date’ in your school’s diary and booking details will be sent out after the February half-term holidays.
