Wow - we are in May! We can’t believe we just have such a short time left with this second grade group! They look like third graders already!

Academics

Bible - Our study this week will be on Paul and Silas.
Memory Verse - Acts 16:31, “So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved – you and your household.”
Reading - Our story will be “Two of Everything.”
Spelling - We will work with words that have the prefixes re or un. Here are some examples: refill, rerun, reread, untie, unlock, unplug
Grammar - Possessive Pronouns
Math –-Value of money, story problems with missing information, addition and subtraction with 0 in the minuend

May 12th (this is a change from May 18th) - Last day to earn words for Millionaires & Hundred Thousand Club
May 24th - Awards’ Assembly 1st-5th - 9:00 a.m.- Last day of School - Dismissal immediately after the assembly - No Extended Care/No Bus
