   News publishers get tough on ad-blockers

With ad-blocking software seemingly on the rise, it seems that newspaper publishers have decided to play hardball.

   The ash that turned into paper

In a world first, the NZ Fire Service took their fire prevention message to the public to get as many Kiwis as possible to check/buy/install a smoke alarm, on a single day.

They collected ash from the remains of real house fires and used it to create a special ink to print nine regional newspapers around NZ.
