No Images? Click here Barnard College Update - Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016Dear Claremont resident: Thank you for your continued patience as the crane remains on Claremont Avenue this morning. A quick update: We are making every effort to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. The construction team continues to work with city officials on the amended operations plan and believes they are making progress on finalizing its details. They hope to have, later today, a better sense of timing for the crane’s removal. For now, the crane will need to remain in the street, at least for today. While we know this is a significant inconvenience to the neighborhood and apologize for the disruption it is causing as we approach this holiday season, we hope the outcome of this additional work will be that during most future wind events the crane will be able to remain onsite, thus minimizing its impact to Claremont residents. As always, the safety of our communities is of utmost important to Barnard and its construction team. We will continue to update you at least once a day and please email if you have a specific question. As we mentioned yesterday, we have arranged for limited access to Claremont so that deliveries and pick-ups can continue while the street is closed. Here are the specifics:
